The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • 2X-225X extended zoom magnification using high-resolution Greenough stereoscopic objective lenses with 10X and 25X eyepieces, and 0.3X and 2X Barlow lenses.
  • High-resolution ZM series optics provide improved sharpness with lower distortion
  • A highly-versatile stereo microscope on a heavy-duty, multi-pivot boom-stand which allows the microscope to easily swing into place when needed, and away when not
  • Dual diopters can be adjusted to maintain consistent focus throughout the magnification range, greatly improving productivity.
  • The stereo optics provide upright images with clear depth-of-field and a wide view for hands-on applications.
  • A trinocular photo-port provides a dedicated mount for adding a camera.
  • This microscope is ideal for laboratories, repair shops, and engravers.
  • Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 14MP USB 3.0 camera. Professional microscopy software for Windows, Mac, and Linux provide tools for image processing, measuring, and more.
  • A 150W halogen illuminator with 35" heavy-duty fiber-optic ring-light provides the smoothest overhead lighting possible. Active cooling and auto-shutoff avoids overheating in strenuous environments.

The ZM-4T matches high-resolution optics with a brawny boom-stand for demanding biological and industrial applications. The ZM series shows improvements in resolution, contrast, and distortion compared to our staple SM series. This model is especially popular in the QC, repair and engraving industries thanks to its ease-of-use and reliability. This trinocular model has an additional port for mounting a camera, so you can record video or photos without replacing an eyepiece. With its wide zoom range and double-arm boom-stand, this model will become an indispensable instrument in any workshop or lab.

Optics

The advanced optical system in the ZM series microscope produces higher resolutions throughout its zoom range, with stunning contrast and color accuracy. The 0.67X-4.5X objective lenses offer excellent focus-depth and a large working-distance, with symmetrical zoom knobs to easily move through magnifications. 10X and 25X eyepieces are included, as well as 0.3X and 2X Barlow lenses to provide an expanded magnification range from 2X-225X, with high-eyepoint optics to accommodate glasses or goggles.

Magnifications and Working-Distances
Objective
Eyepiece Standard (100mm WD) 0.3X Barlow (278mm WD) 2X Barlow (38mm WD)
10X 6.7X-45X 2X-13.5X 13.4X-90X
25X 16.8X-112.5X 5X-33.8X 33.5X-225X

Ocular Adjustment

Easy Adjustments for Any User
Dual ocular diopters can be adjusted to maintain consistent focus, greatly improving productivity. Sliding interpupillary adjusters ensure that each user can properly align the eyepieces for comfortable viewing.

Trinocular Port

A Dedicated Port for Imaging
The switched trinocular photo-port provides a dedicated mount for a camera. When the photo-port is switched open, all light from the left objective is diverted to the port to provide maximum brightness for the camera to guarantee the best quality images.

Double-arm Boom-Stand

Heavy-duty, Multi-pivoting Support
The multi-pivoting, double-arm stand provides a stable, flexible support system. Use of a drop-down column allows the head to be positioned at virtually any angle. Ball-bearings provide smooth movement of the lateral arms, which can easily pivot the microscope out of the way when it is not needed. The heavy, steel base ensures the stability of the microscope, even when laden with attachments.

Digital Imaging

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 14.0MP USB3.0 camera. The C-mount camera is specially designed for use with microscopes, allowing you to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. The USB 3.0 connection provides greater bandwidth for faster frame-rates. A 0.5X reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

Illuminator

Powerful 150W Illumination System with Fiber-optic Ring-light
This package includes a powerful 150W illuminator with a fiber-optic ring-light. The incandescent light-source projects ultra-bright, full-spectrum light which is channeled through the 35” fiber-optic light-guide which provides the smoothest ring of encompassing illumination. The flexible, heavy-duty metal-sheathed guide will hold up to heavy use in your workshop, factory, or lab without worry of crimping or breaking. The light-source is equipped with an active cooling system and an auto-shutoff circuit to avoid overheating in strenuous environments.
