I am very satisfied with this microscope. The construction feels strong, reliable and well made. Nothing feels loose, and the whole instrument gives the impression of being a precise optical device, not just a simple hobby tool.

Almost everything can be adjusted: the illumination, light focus, aperture/beam width, brightness, coarse and fine focus, focus stop, interpupillary distance and the height of the eyepiece head. The focusing system is very smooth and practical: you can adjust it slowly and carefully for fine detail, or move it faster when needed. The mechanical stage also moves the slide smoothly from side to side, which makes observing and scanning samples much easier. All moving parts feel smooth, clear and accurate.

The kit also included useful accessories: a light filter, mirror, USB flash drive with the software, immersion oil and the camera cable. The camera works very well and gives a clear, high-quality image. The microscope itself also works perfectly.

Everything was packed very securely, both the microscope and the additional accessories I ordered with it. The package arrived intact, with no visible scratches or damage. The power plug is American, but an adapter was included in the box, which was a very pleasant surprise.

I also ordered a calibration slide separately, but it turned out that one calibration slide was already included with my package. Now I have two calibration slides, which is not a serious problem, but it is worth mentioning.

Overall, I definitely recommend this microscope model and this seller to anyone interested in microbiology, microscopy or related sciences.

As part of my small project to create a Computational Phase Contrast using a normal microscope and computing the phase contrast from Blue and Red LED light. Trying to build this as cheap as possible, which is where the Amscope objective comes in and shines.
