The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • 3.5X-90X extended zoom magnification using high-quality Greenough stereoscopic objective lenses with 0.5X and 2X Barlow lenses.
  • Continuous zoom magnification
  • Super widefield optics offer crystal clear images with a large field-of-view
  • Sturdy pillar stand with super large base plate
  • Trinocular port for adding photo or video capability
  • Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 3MP USB 2.0 camera. Professional microscopy software for Windows, Mac, and Linux provide tools for image processing, measuring, and more.
  • Includes a mechanical gliding stage which allows you to precisely position subjects. The glass top helps avoid static discharge when working with electronics
  • The lightweight 8W fluorescent ring-light produces a smooth, encompassing field of light for use with any application.

This is a trinocular stereo zoom microscope with a pillar-stand with extra-large base. It incorporates all the most excellent features of a high quality laboratory instrument. Designed to meet the demands of modern microscopy applications, this scope exceeds all expectations. It comes with SUPER widefield optics and super large stand. This microscope offers high resolution and good depth within a broad field of view. It provides crystal clear sharp stereo images with a 4" (100mm) native working distance. Its 45 degree inclined ocular tubes ensure an easy observation and rubber eyeguards provide further comfort.

The stereo optics provide clear, sharp images with excellent focus-depth and a large working-distance. With 0.7X-4.5X zoom objectives, moving through the magnification range is as easy as turning a knob. 10X wide-field eyepieces provide an ample magnification range from 7X to 45X, with high-eyepoint optics to accommodate glasses or goggles. 0.5X and 2X Barlow lenses are included, which can be alternated to either halve or double the magnification range, expanding the possible magnifications to 3.5X-90X.

The microscope also features a switched trinocular photo port for attaching an imaging device without the need to replace one of the eyepieces. The photo port is especially useful for attaching a video-capable camera for a live video stream that can be projected on a television or monitor. Our unmatched lineup of cameras offers endless possibilities, including computer-based imaging and measurements, time-lapse capture, and wi-fi or LAN networking.

This microscope is useful for many applications. It can be used in gemology, geology, forestry, archaeology, agriculture and biology. It is appropriate for educational purposes in hospitals and schools. It is great for the exploration of the world of surface details and fine structures of various materials like wood, metal, solder, semiconductor and gemstone. It is perfect for the examination of insects, plants, rocks, stamps, coins, jewel, soldered points, microelectronic components, circuit boards or virtually any three dimensional objects. This scope is an ideal tool for research labs, gemologists, collectors, engravers, watchmakers, jewelers, dies-makers, philatelists, and anyone in semiconductor or electronic industry.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 3.0MP USB2.0 camera. The C-mount camera is specially designed for use with microscopes, allowing you to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. A 0.5X reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

This package includes a mechanical gliding stage and an 8W fluorescent ring-light for seamless lighting. The mechanical stage provides precision control over movement on the X and Y axes. The glass surface is useful for sensitive electronic components, and two clips are attached to secure specimens. The lightweight ring illuminator mounts to the microscope’s objective housing, and projects a smooth, encompassing field of light over objects, eliminating most shadows. Whether used as the sole light-source or in combination with additional illuminators, the ring-light produces a crucial light pattern for virtually any application.
