The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • Optical glass monocular microscope with top & bottom LED lights
  • 40X-1000X Five widefield magnifications
  • Sturdy metal frame with coaxial coarse & fine focusing
  • Single lens condenser with 6-hole disc diaphragm
  • Five blank and five prepared slide kit

This versatile, dual-light microscope functions as both a high-powered, transmitted-light microscope for viewing microscopic specimens, as well as a low-powered, reflected-light microscope for viewing larger objects, such as leaves and bugs. The lower light can be employed for incredibly high-detail viewing of ultra-small, translucent specimens like cells, or even the vascular systems of thin leaves. And for more-opaque objects, like stamps, sand, or insects, the upper light provides reflected illumination. In all, the microscope offers five magnification settings: 40X, 100X, 250X, 400X, and 1000X.

A 10pc slide kit is included, with five biological specimens and five blank slides, to give the user a head start. Designed for students to learn science for years of continued observations, it has full optical glass elements, metal framework, two eyepieces (10X and 25X), 360-degree rotatable monocular head, and coarse & fine focusing. The light sources use either an outlet (adapter included) or three AA batteries (included). This microscope is perfect for academics in home school for students in elementary to high school.

A great success

My granddaughter would like to be a marine biologist and is very interested in science, particularly biology. So when she got this as a Christmas present she was delighted.

Brilliant first microscope

Excellent magnification and clarity. My son loves it! A proper microscope that doesn’t cost the earth but great for keen science beginners.

I am afraid the microscope is a christmas present so we cannot review it until after christmas

Stunning image quality and control

The optics are great and even better for both the variable light power and the iris under the table. I was not expecting such a bright sharp iage at x1000 for such a budget price. And the package was rich with kit and prepared slides. Well done. It's Amscope for me when I upgrade from this.
